What We Believe
As a local church we are committed to assembling together for fellowship breaking bread, reading The Word, worship, prayer, spiritual discipling, and preaching. These are for the work of the ministry and the exercise of all spiritual gifts, and all believers' lives be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. As believers, we are committed to the fulfillment of the Great Commission given by our Lord to go into all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all things commanded by our God.
1. The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, and the truth of God to mankind. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed and, therefore, are the final authority for faith and life.
(II Timothy 3:16.)
2. God the Father is the eternal Creator, Provider, and Judge of His universe (Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 1:3; II Timothy 4:18; Hebrews 12:23).
3. Jesus Christ, born of the Virgin Mary is the incarnate, only-begotten Son of God. There is no other name given under heaven whereby mankind can be saved (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:22-23; John 3:16; Acts 4:12).
4. Mankind was sold into Satan's bondage through his disobedience to Jesus Christ, therefore, became the Redeemer by dying on the cross an shedding His precious blood as the ransom price for sinners. That whosever believes in Him has everlasting life ( Acts 20:28; John 3:16).
5. Jesus promised to give His followers the Holy Spirit, who would endue them with power from on high to enable them to be witnesses, beginning at home and reaching unto the uttermost parts of the earth. The Holy Spirit is sovereign in distributing spiritual gifts and that the miraculous gifts of the Spirit still operate today ( Matthew 28:28-20; Acts 1:8; l Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9).
6. Jesus Christ tasted death for all mankind and was raised eternally and victoriously on the third day. All who believe in Him shall inherit full redemption (Hebrews 2:9; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9).
7. Knowing this, it behooves His followers to live a holy and pure life in every way as He did, knowing we shall be rewarded and judged according to the deeds done in the flesh (Hebrews 12:14; Matthew 1:27).
8. It is appointed unto mankind once to die, and after that the judgement (Hebrews 9:27).
9. As the followers of Jesus on the Mount of Olives saw Him go, so also shall He return in like manner. Every eye shall see Him. Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that He is Lord to the glory of God (Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7; Philippians 2:10-11).
10. We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one women (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:22 & 25).
